Unable to open xcode. Shows error "Required content for platform tvOS Simulator is missing." - xcode

I'm unable to open my Xcode after accidentally deleting my Xcode from the applications folder to the trash and putting it back in my applications. Every time I try to open Xcode it shows the following error.
I tried googling this error and found this post on the Apple's forum page which asks me to just re-install from the official mac app store which I feel is a lazy answer and I do have enough storage for doing that on my old MacBook air with just 256GB.
I did find another post on SO that shows deleting a folder for a similar issue fixed the problem. Is there a similar solution or any other solution which doesn't require me to re-install Xcode once again?
My versions:-
MacBook Air (Intel)
macOS - 12.6.2
Xcode - 13.2.1

Flutter: XCode error "Unable to boot the Simulator"

Iam running the latest OSX/Flutter/XCode Versions using flutter, android studio and firebase and 1 hour ago everthing works perfectly.
Then i rebooted my macbook and when i try to launch an ios simulator i get this error "Unable to boot the simulator".
The following steps shows no solution:
Reinstall the ios simulator
Flutter clean and pub get
Updating comand line tools 13.3.1 (13E500a)
Run invalid cache of android studio
I found the problem also on stackoverflow but all sugestions does not working.
Any ideas?

NO NEED TO UNINSTALL XCODE! Though I know the contributor already has solved the issue, I'm happy if this answer will help someone else.
Go to [About this Mac > Storage > Manage > Developer]
Delete all the content (no worries!)
You can delete xcode cache and it will work,
by going to
About this Mac > Storage > Manage > Developer or any folder you choosed for development when installing xcode and flutter then Delete XCode Cache.
Step 1:
Go to About this Mac
Step 2:
Go to Storage
Step 3:
Delete all the content Or Delete XCode Cache
You can just clean your Xcode Caches, and that will do the trick,

For me it was not necessary to delete XCode. I could solve it with this:
1: Click on "About this Mac" in the top left corner
2: Click on "Storage"-Tab
3: Click on "Manage"-Button
4: Click on "Developer"-Tab
5: Right click on all the data and "Delete"
For Mac Ventura 13.0 OS and higher -> Click apple logo on top left of your Mac
System Settings > search Storage > Developer
Then delete Xcode Caches
Product-> Clean Build Folder works for me!
After checking some other comments, it seems uninstalling XCode is not necessary.
The issue is not directly related to Flutter but it is related to the XCode 13.3.1 with the Simulator, specially for iPhone and iPad (tvOS and watchOS should have no issue so far).
Somehow the existing files during the security update causes the simulator to get corrupted.
As temporary workaround, you can try the following steps:
Uninstall XCode by moving from Applications folder to the Trash
Empty the Trash
Open the Mac Storage Management and go to the Developer in the sidebar
Delete everything from the Developer Section
Download Xcode 13.1 from Apple Developers and not the stable release from App Store
Extract the downloaded Xcode_13.1.xip file, i actually recommend via terminal by using xip -x Xcode_13.3.1.xip, and take in mind the extraction uses 100GB and it takes up to 2 hours to complete. You are going to have this message at the beggining xip: signing certificate was "Software Update" (validation not attempted), but you can ignore since this is expected.
Finally, move the extracted XCode file to the Applications folder
Run sudo xcode-select --switch /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer
Run sudo xcodebuild -runFirstLaunch

getting Xcode for Mac version 10.15.7

My computer is running macOS Catalina. I have Xcode installed but I cannot open it. I keep getting an error that maybe my OS version cannot run the installed XCode version. There is no update for my computer OS -- Catelina seems to be the latest it's eligible for. How do I get a working version of Xcode?
The error says something about Xcode cannot be installed on Mac HD and that version 11.3 or later required. But I'm betting there has to be an Xcode version for Mac 10.15.7 that I can use. But I cannot figure how to install that.

A little extra guidance for Windows users a little lost in finding the right download:
After you have signed in or created an account at developer.apple.com one way to find the download is shown below:
(1) Click on search icon and search for "Xcode support" then in the results click "Xcode - Support"
(2) In the second section of that page click on "Downloads Page"
(3) Finally, search "Xcode 12.4" and you should be able to down the .xip file from the top result
Note that this download can take a while (just over an hour for me).

I have been building mac app on my mac mini and it always worked well but today i faced this error, searched a lot but no luck.

installation directory set to blank and also to /Applications
Tried Skip Install No / Yes
Using developer Signing certs
M using only Developer certificates and not provisioning profile to sign my cocoa app

This is what fixed it for me, perhaps it will help others but I do realize the question was for 8.2. I had it set to Xcode 9 "New Build System" disabling this and switching to "Standard Build System" in the Project Settings under the File Menu. I had tried all the other things like killing DerivedData, clean build, restarting Xcode. I also verified that my dependent libraries were set correctly. The only thing that worked was disabling new "New Build System"
I just had this problem today. I have little demo code in a mac project(created with Xcode 9.4). This error just started to occur after I upgraded system to macOS Mojave 10.14. However, in Xcode 10 this project runs no problem(without changing anything). If you can use Xcode 10 it will probably be fixed.
Unfortunately, the above solutions didn't work for me (although I am sure they work for some people).
Here is what worked for me, in case this helps anyone else:
Close Xcode
Open Xcode and Create a new Xcode project
In the iOS template, select Single View App then click Next
yes, I know you are trying to get a macOS app attaching to the debugger :).
Give the iOS app any product name and organization identifier you would like and click Next
Create the new project anywhere you would like (I saved it to my desktop)
Build and run (cmd + r) the iOS app on a simulator like the iPhone 8 (starting a simulator and running the iOS app will take a little time, so have patients)
After the iOS app runs in the simulator, click to stop it from running (the stop button is next to the run button)
Open your macOS app that you are having trouble connecting a debugger to, and build and run it (cmd + r)
This, for some reason, allowed me to connect to the debugger with my macOS app...

how can i download the file with 3.1 ?
Just ran into this issue with Xcode 9 and watchOS 4. It turned out that I was not logged in anymore to my Apple ID in Xcode. Go to Xcode > Preferences > Accounts and log into your account. Then disconnect and reconnect the iPhone with the paired watch and Xcode should now be able to download the symbol files.
In my case this happened because there was a new license agreement pending in my account. After I had accepted the new agreement, Xcode was able to download necessary symbols
I had a similar problem and ended up deleting the app from my phone and watch, closing Xcode, and trying to install it again. After a few attempts this ended up working. I would also double check that you're running the latest version of XCode. Hope you get it resolved!
I managed to get my watch app working by installing the app to my phone first (without the watch component), and then installing the watchOS app directly from my phone's Watch app.
This is a bit of a work-around, but I too could not find the 3.1 file anywhere.

IOS Simulator cannot find sdk and the simulated application quit errors

I have been having this Xcode problem for a couple of months where my iOS simulator stops working whenever i run any application on Xcode and says, "The simulated application quit." and "iOS Simulator could not find the SDK. The SDK may need to be reinstalled." I am running Xcode 4.3.3 and have iOS sdk 5.1 and everything updated but it happened on my previous version of Xcode also. I have tried reinstalling Xcode over 10 times now and have been posting this question for a while now. No one has been able to get a solution. I have even sent in a bug report to apple but i don't think they will respond. I have tried doing everything every other person that has this problem has been told to do in other threads. I'm honestly thinking about just buying a new mac and seeing if Xcode will work on that one or taking in my current one to get looked at by apple. So if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Go to Xcode -> Preferences -> Downloads and make sure the "Target SDK" you have selected in your project is in fact installed under the Downloads windows. For me this magically was uninstalled. Once i installed the SDK that my app was using, all worked again

I just deleted the folder "6.1" under ~/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator
The I just launched again the app and the simulator recreated correctly the 6.1 folder.
Resetting the simulator settings (iOS Simulator > Reset Contents and Settings) resolved this issue for me.
I had the same issue. For me suddenly all the installed simulators (4.3 through to 6.0) stopped working. I then went to Xcode -> Preferences -> Downloads, and there I had the chance to update at least the 5.0 simulator. This is now working, yet I was not able to get the 4.3 or 5.1 or 6.0 to work.
I have personally experienced a weird thing with xcode regarding this issue. Sometimes the sdk is installed properly but it still gives this error. I have two classes, if I call first class from the app delegate then the ipad simulator works fine but when I call the second class then it gives the error that the sdk needs to be re-installed.
In my case when the error occured, I had two errors in the second class. When I corrected the errors after debugging, the ipad simulator started to work completely fine. This is quite weird but its not the problem with your sdk, the problem is somewhere in the code.
This just happened to me. I tried to launch with iPhone 5.1 Simulator, got the error "iOS Simulator could not find the SDK. The SDK may need to be reinstalled." I tried running iPad 5.1 Sim, which worked. I switched to non-retina iPad. Then I tried running iPhone 5.1 Simulator again, and it worked.
