How to add more Content in specific Templates (Android Automotive)? - limit

So i am currently playing around with Android Automotive and was trying out different Templates.
Now i found out that the content limit of different Templates is restricted by the Host-Vehicle.
For Example the ListTemplate only allows 6 contents(Rows).
I'm using the generic system image provided by Android Studio.
Is it possible to change the content limit on the emulator?
By using the ConstraintManager it's possible to get the content limit of different templates but not change it.
constraintManager.getContentLimit(ConstraintManager.CONTENT_LIMIT_TYPE_LIST))

Though the limit can vary by regions and vehicles, there's no way for you as a developer to change the limit. This is because the limit is there to adhere to safety guidelines and regulations – making it modifiable would defeat that purpose. Do note that the minimum values for these limits can be found here.

What are good analytic tools for Xamarin Forms?

I am looking for a way to track the navigation process of my users, as well as the number of clicks/user for each view, average screen time per/day/user, and so on.
I know I can do this programmatically but it doesn't seem like the ideal solution.
Is there any software that covers all of this?
Visual Studio App Center provides multiple useful tools. It offers real-time diagnostic data, tracking of usage patterns, user adoption and a lot more engagement metrics with App Center Analytics. You can even use custom events to get the exact user behaviors you are looking for.
I've been using it for a while and so far i'm satisfied.
AppCenter is the easiest to integrate with, it also allows you to export the data to ApplicationInsights on azure to do more with that data. There are some other options like Google Analytics (You have to install nugets on platform projects and implement them separately). You also have segment If you are interested.

How to create apps with same look and feel across platforms with Nativescript

I just recently decided to give NativeScript a try since I want to re-use my exp with Angular, but I wanted to know if it's possible to create an app that has the same or most similar styling across devices, like Youtube or Instagram for example, they are practically the same screens in different devices. If that's possible can I get a high level explanation of how this can be accomplished with NativeScript? I followed some tutorials and the first thing you notice is how the different tags translate to the different native components between Android and iOS, they are a lot of times very very different in style.
Edit: See the examples I gave, youtube and Instagram, I'm not talking about bringing Android materials to iOS or vice-versa. I'm talking about having a specific styling equal in both platforms.
Okay so I found that the best way to do this is by using platform-specific css to tweak and modify in order to achieve the same look in both platforms, more info here Platform-Specific CSS

Are there any advanced apps that are built using fabric js?

I got lots of simple apps or examples that are built using Fabric.js.
Can I use Fabric.js for making advanced applications? I want to check some apps and see it's performance so that I would confirm that Fabric.js can handle big apps too.
We built Fabric specifically to power design editor on Printio.ru. It's used by 1000+ visitors daily.
From other big sites there's easel.ly — visual themes creation tool. Also mywallsticker.de, scrollkit.com, and others.
Large sites that using FabricJS are listed here https://github.com/kangax/fabric.js/wiki/Who%27s-using-Fabric

Where to find default text for supported languages in WP7

I am creating an application, and I noticed that nowhere can i find text such as 'pin to start' to use for livetiles in my application (creating a secondary tile). I tried to send Microsoft's AppHub a support ticket, but I only received a response saying that I could not be helped with translations? I clearly stated the need to be standardized and uniform across my third party apps and default behavior, but this had no effect on the answer. My problem arises when I translate my applications using a resx translator tool and Bing for my translation service. Some words to not translate correctly, which is fine because I go back through to check and then attempt to do this manually, but phrases such as 'pin to start' which are so unique to the WP7 application list sometimes do not translate properly at all. I would like to be as close to Microsoft's default language translations as possible for supported display languages, but are there any resources which may help me out? Or am I left in the dust to try to figure these out myself?
There is a page Microsoft Terminology Collection where you can download sets of standard texts.
There is no document that will show you the localized versions of the system strings. For that, you will have to dig through OS files, and that implies that you will have access to the WP OS image. You have to rely on your own translation skills or simply switch languages on the phone to check specific strings.

Programmatically checking what Windows Phone marketplace the phone is coupled to

With the advent of the new marketplaces, Microsoft disallows certain language and content in certain marketplaces.
For example, the Chinese, Indonesia and Malasya markets do not allow references to alcohol - any references to alcohol.
One of my apps has a single string that contains the word "alcohol" in it and is thus disallowed. I was wondering if there's a progammatic way of discovering what marketplace a phone is attached to and thus remove the string in those cases.
I can of course submit 2 different XAPs to the marketplace, but I would hate the hassle of doing that.
There is no API to guarantee to return which marketplace the LiveID of the currently logged in user is associated with. Even if there was there would be no way to test this on the emulator, as it doesn't allow you to log in so you'd need multiple accounts, each with different marketplaces and to avoid the need to repeatedly hard reset your device you'd probably want multiple devices too. (THis may or may not be an issue for you.)
For your situation you'll need to submit multiple XAP files or remove the alcohol reference from all versions. The verification for this requirement is not done with devices associated with each marketplace but typically just done on a single device and so attempts to get around your situation in the way you've described wouldn't work.
Alternatively, you could localize the app appropriately and just not have that section in the localized versions for those countries. I'm not sure if that would be enough to meet the marketplace requirement though as users in those countries could still set their devices to another region/locale.
As a general guide, you could attempt to infer the marketplace the user is most likley to be connected to based on their location or regional settings but this wouldn't be guaranteed. Asking (to confirm) would be the best bet, but not in your scenario.
