Is ns2 installable for M1 Mac? - macos

In our Lab, we were asked to install ns2. I tried running a script from a GitHub repo. But, after executing, it failed to run. I saw this ns3 google group. It mentioned that ns-3.33 was able to install in her system. But it didn't mention ns2. I haven't been able to find any material which points to any ns2 installation. Can anyone confirm if it is even possible, as this software is quite old, and my architecture is ARM?

I actually got the help of one of the developers of ns-3. He was kind enough to help me with the installation, and he mentioned the steps which were required for the installation at: https://www.nsnam.org/~tomh/ns-2-mac-m1-instructions.pdf
I followed the steps mentioned in this, and it worked perfectly.

Problem installing UE5 via Linux Ubuntu terminal

First off, I'm a noob. So this is all new to me.
I downloaded Linux_Unreal_Engine_5.0.3.zip from unrealengine.com/en-US/linux and I also downloaded V20 clang-13.0.1-based as well as V19 clang-11.0.1-based just in case because I didn't know which would be compatible.
When I follow the directions on the docs.unrealengine.com site I get "No such file or directory". I extracted everything already and I only typed "./setup.sh" as instructed by the site.
I'd really appreciate someone's patient guidance with this. I've looked everywhere on the internet for a solution.
The solution to my problem was as simple as me typing "sudo" before "./Setup.sh".

Arelle software not installing

I am attempting to install the Arelle XBRL software and these are the steps I am following.
Download the Windows 64 bit version from http://arelle.org/pub/applications/
Double click on installer
As soon as I click the installer I get an NSIS Error message depicted below.
What I have tried:
E-mailing the Arelle support dept but they don't seem to answer at all
Searched for a solution
The most common solution I have found was to run the installer from the command prompt with the below syntax. This seems to have worked for many people but I am still getting the exact same error.
"C:\Users\MyPc\Desktop\arelle-win-x64-2019-07-24.exe" /NCRC
This problem has existed for weeks and it doesn't make sense as Arelle is a widely used program for use with XBRL and many people have downloaded it.
Disk checks and various error checks are being done frequently by the company's administrator so computer maintenance is always occurring.
Any ideas?
I've had the same issue, I've downloaded installer from another computer and another net, run it on computer where was issue, and it works.

Composer diagnose github rate limit keeps failing, using oauth tokens doesn't work either, connection times out, and download fails, what shall I do?

I followed the official instructions to install composer, but then I could not install either laravel or any other package. The connection simply times out, the download fails, saying that it cannot download some github api file.
I posted this question after I have found the solution because it took me almost two days to solve it. I tried disabling ipv6, switched from ubuntu to windows, but to no avail. But finally, this post gave me the answer I needed: How to enable PHP's openssl extension to install Composer?
I wanted to link it here because you might not at first think of searching for openssl extension. But it does solve the problem, at least it did for me.
Well, it did and then it did not. It worked for a while when the light went out, which I suspect must have shutoff some firewall server.
So, in my case, what finally solved the problem was switching from my school's wifi to a mobile data connection. Then the github rate limit passed the diagnose, and all downloads run smoothly.

GAMMU -- Identify: not a valid win32 application

I downloaded from official site and installed latest version of Gammu for windows.
The set-up runs just fine like any other exe I have ever installed.
Then, when I try to call the command as instructed in the official guide I get this message: (alternative)
I've tried anything but it's always the same.
All of the other similar "win32 not a valid application" questions are related to self-made applications or programming in general: I haven't found a similar problem related to gammu in the whole web, except for a very old case from seven years ago which suggest to downgrade, which of course I can't do.
any suggestion to this problem? anyone had a similar one
Okay, there seems to be problem with running apps built with recent Visual studio on Windows XP and 2003.
Fortunately there is a configuration to change this.
I've just committed this change to Gammu and the new binaries will soon build. They should be available for download here. It would be great if you can test them...

feasibility to setup an Open Source Platform “edX” - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EdX

I have just heard of this open source early in this morning, and hook into google for searching about this, but seems like google have limited options too.
I found this one https://github.com/edx/configuration/wiki/edX-Ubuntu-12.04-Installation ,but it is for ubuntu
I am using mac 10.8.3 ,my question is
1.is it possible to install it on my mac machine
2.Where can i find the downloads of this open source
3.Which is the best tutorial to install edX
With Regards
1) Yes you can install the files on Mac, just that there isn't a guide in order to archive that. You can try to follow the Ubuntu guide posted and one by one check if the commands are compatible, or use a compatible command.
2) In order to get the files you need to use github so the link that you post is where the files are you can use a git clone in order to get the files on your mac.
3) The best tutorial is this one https://github.com/edx/configuration/wiki/edX-Ubuntu-12.04-64-bit-Installation. Remember that Ansible is in charge of the installation so we just need to run and wait
Hope that this helps
