Cypress is ignoring host file redirection after laptop change - cypress

I have a suite of tests to run against pre-production versions of a website, and which can only be accessed through host file redirection as the URL for all versions of the website are the same. Recently, I was supplied with a new laptop, and since then when I attempt to run the test suite, Cypress is ignoring the host file redirection and running against our production environment. A coworker has the exact same version and test suite and it does not ignore the host file redirection.
Uninstalled/reinstalled cypress. Deleted and re-cloned the test suite. Verified that I can redirect my host file locally. Tried to use a different IP address in the Cypress host file redirection to see if it did anything (it did not).

Not able to open the connected port from gitlab and copying fail from mapped network to local path

I am from automotive domain where I need to run the sanity test using GitLab, Here I am facing two issues . My GitLab runner is installed in windows OS.
I have build which is placed at mapped server, From here I need to copy the data to local folder. Here I ma getting error "Invalid drive specification" and not copying anything . But same if I run at locally it is success.
My system is connected to hardware and that was enabled with some port . as per the script need to open the port and run some commands via this to flash the device . If I run from Git lab getting error unable to open . But same working fine locally.
In both the cases Do I need to change anything in GitLab runner config file?
I have changed the config file by mentioning the port numbers . But still facing issue.
copying I tried t give my credentials but still failing

Automate WebSphere plugins configuration: Not resolved ${WAS_PLUGIN_DRIVER} variable in httpd.conf

I'm working on an automated deployment of HCL Connections 6.5 using Ansible on CentOS 7. It already includes IBM IM, WAS (Dmgr + Node), DB2 and Connections itself. The HTTP Server (IHS) is installed, but now I need to configure it. I need to configure the WebSphere Plugin using WCT.
For education purpose, I did this in the past on another testserver using GUI mode like this:
cd /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Toolbox/WCT
./wct.sh
Now we get an wizard with several steps that asks for the plugin location, webserver definition name, port of the HTTP Server and so on.
Automate the wizard
I found wctcmd.sh
as CLI equivalent of wtc.sh to configure webservers automatically. So I made the following response file
configType=remote
enableAdminServerSupport=true
enableUserAndPass=true
enableWinService=false
ihsAdminCreateUserAndGroup=true
ihsAdminPassword=password
ihsAdminPort=8008
ihsAdminUnixUserGroup=ihsadmin
ihsAdminUnixUserID=ihsadmin
mapWebServerToApplications=true
wasMachineHostname=cnx65.internal
webServerConfigFile1=/opt/IBM/HTTPServer/conf/httpd.conf
webServerDefinition=webserver1
webServerHostName=cnx65.internal
webServerOS=operating_system_value
webServerPortNumber=80
webServerSelected=ihs
and ran wctcmd.sh like this:
cd /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Toolbox/WCT
./wctcmd.sh -tool pct -createDefinition -defLocPathname /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Plugins -response resp-file
It says that the tool was executed successfully. But when I open the webserver config /opt/IBM/HTTPServer/conf/httpd.conf it has added the following two lines:
LoadModule was_ap22_module ${WAS_PLUGIN_DRIVER}
WebSpherePluginConfig /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Plugins/config/webserver1/plugin-cfg.xml
This variable is not defined and raise an error when starting the webserver:
# /opt/IBM/HTTPServer/bin/apachectl start
httpd: Syntax error on line 915 of /opt/IBM/HTTPServer/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load ${WAS_PLUGIN_DRIVER} into server: ${WAS_PLUGIN_DRIVER}: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I assume that the presence of ${WAS_PLUGIN_DRIVER} indicates something went wrong with wctcmd.sh because I looked at another test server with Connections 6 installed manually (with GUI) and the manually installed server has no variable there:
LoadModule was_ap22_module /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Plugins/bin/64bits/mod_was_ap22_http.so
WebSpherePluginConfig /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Plugins/config/webserver1/plugin-cfg.xml
A consultant with over 10 years of experience in WebSphere/Connections confirmed that LoadModule was_ap22_module /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Plugins/bin/64bits/mod_was_ap22_http.so is correct when everything worked correctly, so there should be no variable.
Questions
Why does the tool place the ${WAS_PLUGIN_DRIVER} variable in my http config without resolving them?
What am I doing wrong that this occurs?
Figured out that I misinterpreted the operating_system_value value for webServerOS. I thought the script would detect the OS automatically, but the docs say
The valid values for the webServerOS parameter, which is used to specify the web server operating system, are Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX, HPUX, OS390, and OS400.
I also set webServerType=IHS. Now it generates the following working configuration:
LoadModule was_ap22_module /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Plugins/bin/64bits/mod_was_ap22_http.so
WebSpherePluginConfig /opt/IBM/WebSphere/Plugins/config/webserver1/plugin-cfg.xml

How to run JMeter Webdriver samplers on a remote machine

I am trying to run JMeter Webdriver samplers in IE on a remote machine. I have changed remote_hosts to the IP address of the remote machine. JMeter server on the remote machine is also started. When I run the tests from the JMeter GUI on the local machine (Run->Remote Start menu) I can see the command line window in remote machine showing
"Started the test..."
and immediately
"Finished the test..."
So the test runs but nothing actually happens.
I must be missing some configuration.
Can someone please help?
You need to install the same Selenium/WebDriver Support plugin to the remote slave(s). This can be done either by copying the whole JMeter installation to the slave host(s) or using JMeter Plugins Manager on each slave.
You need to download Internet Explorer Driver binary and put it to the same location as on the master host.
In case of any problems check jmeter-server.log file on remote slave - normally it should contain the root cause (or clue on what is wrong)

TeamCity error 'tscon.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command

I'm using tscon.exe to unlock a remote machine locally before I can run automation tests. When I run my command via RDC it works as expected and unlocks the remote machine locally:
C:>tscon.exe %sessionname% /dest:console
But I need this to run as my first TeamCity build step. Doing so either as a direct TeamCity Custom Script or starting a .bat file, both return the error:
[16:50:22][Step 1/11] in directory: C:\BuildAgent\work\e4249c2d6a4e9e8d
[16:50:22][Step 1/11] 'tscon.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
Why is tscon.exe not recognised when used via TeamCity?
I just had same issue and moving the exe out of System32 is not an option for me.So I have to dig deeper.
Turns out the problem is not Teamcity. It's windows.
"The windows filesystem redirection forces 32-bit application attempts to be installed into or accessed from %windir%\System32, been intercepted and get redirected or re-pointed to %windir%\SysWOW64 instead."
The solution is to use an alias name ( %windir%\Sysnative ) for that directory which windows will not redirected.
Try this :
C:\Windows\Sysnative\tscon.exe %sessionname% /dest:console
For more detailed Reference : http://www.tipandtrick.net/how-to-suppress-and-bypass-system32-file-system-redirect-to-syswow64-folder-with-sysnative/
Here is the solution:
Copy tscon.exe to any location other than %windir%\System32\
i.e. C:\TeamCity\tscon.exe
Add TC build step as below (ensure to include Working Dir):
Now the remote machine will login locally before completing the TC steps

CentOS 6.4 Minimal + how to configure jenkins jobs via xml?

I need to create a Build Server in CentOS 6.4 Minimal I sucessfully installed:
Java compiler (OpenJDK 1.7.0)
Git or Mercurial
Maven
Jenkins
Now I need to to the following:
At given intervals (eg daily at midnight) is the latest revision in the version control system (tip, HEAD, ...) compiled with Maven. In addition, Java Docs and packages (jar, war) need to be created.
Then Jenkins with all tests conducted and reported.
Make sure there is a report of previous builds
Ensure that the Java Docs and packages can be downloaded (jars, wars, ...) of the latest build
I can't use a GUI on CentOS Minimal so I need to configure the job in xml files? Could please someone show me the way... I'm not a linux server guru.
It's a bit impractical to configure Jenkins via XML by hand, because Jenkins' configuration is spread over multiple files, and the format of the configuration files changes between releases.
Given that Jenkins is a web application, you should be able to visit port 8080 (Jenkins' default port, assuming you didn't change it) on the server where you installed Jenkins (e.g. http://mycentosserver.example.com:8080), and configure it via the web interface.
If you're unable to access the web interface because of a firewall or similar, but you are able to SSH to the server (presumably you can, given that you were able to install stuff on it), you could set up an SSH tunnel to forward a port on your local machine to port 8080 on the server. For example, from your local machine, run the following command. You will then be able to access Jenkins on your local machine at http://localhost:28080 . If you're on Windows, you can use Putty to do the same thing.
ssh -L 28080:127.0.0.1:8080 mycentosserver.example.com
If you can't access the web app directly, and you can't SSH tunnel, I'd recommend setting up Jenkins on a server where you can access the web app, configuring it, and copying the XML config files from /var/lib/jenkins on that server across to your Centos server.
