I would like to create a TCP server with Kotlin based on Spring reactive netty.
For this purpose I have the following demo project:

#Component

server.onDispose().block()
}
fun handler(inbound: NettyInbound, outbound: NettyOutbound): Publisher<Void> {
val e = inbound.receive().retain()
return outbound.send(e)
// here, I would like to perform some operation on the incoming messages and writing their response using coroutine syntax without mono and flux
}
}
What I would like, is to be able to use the Kotlin coroutine syntax (with suspend function) to process the incoming message and produce the response, but for the moment I am stuck with the reactive functional syntax. How to pass from one world to another?
Would it be easier to use Netty without reactive project?

Looks like SocketUtils is deprecated now as a part of spring boot 3 upgrade. While running controller tests, I am getting below error. Anyone have come across it and how was it solved?
main] o.s.test.context.TestContextManager : Caught exception while invoking 'afterTestClass' callback on TestExecutionListener [org.springframework.cloud.contract.wiremock.WireMockTestExecutionListener#4362d7df] for test class [class com.example.springboot.HelloControllerTest] java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/springframework/util/SocketUtils
It is reproducible with simple setup of Spring boot 3.0.0, Java 17, spring-cloud-contract-wiremock dependency.

I have made projects before on spring and never got any issue like this before ,i just can't seem to figure out what is wrong here, all dependencies are correctly imported .
Here is how my vaultengine.java looks like :

I am using a custom port cause i have 8080 in use somewhere already.

You are using spring-boot-starter-thymeleaf, so
#GetMapping("/h")
public String greetingForm() {
return "index";
}
and put index.html to src/main/resources/templates/.

Use #RestController instead of #Controller
#SpringBootApplication
#RestController
public class DemoApplication {
public static void main(String[] args) {
SpringApplication.run(DemoApplication.class, args);
}
#GetMapping("/h")
public String greetingForm() {
return "index.html";
}
}
Hello i've tried to create a simple controller and put it in the same package with the main class but it looks like it's not finding it.Basically, when i run the app it's not mapping the endpoint.
I just can't figure out what is wrong with it.
Here is the code:
package com.example.demo;
import org.springframework.boot.SpringApplication;
import org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.SpringBootApplication;
#SpringBootApplication
public class TestProject1Application {
public static void main(String[] args) {
SpringApplication.run(TestProject1Application.class, args);
}
}
package com.example.demo.controller;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RequestMapping;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RequestMethod;
import org.springframework.web.bind.annotation.RestController;
#RestController
public class HomeController {
#RequestMapping(value="/hello", method = RequestMethod.GET)
public String sayHello() {
return "HELLO";
}
}

Although in your log, I do not see 'ServletRegistrationBean' getting initialized, I find no issue with your configuration. Try execute the Spring boot app again & you should be able to invoke the HomeController via 'localhost:8080/hello'.
