I'm using Mageplaza blog extension to create blogs, now I need to show those blogs in a slider, What I have to do? I'm new to Magento.

I have added new articles in Joomla 2.5. Then I add a new menu item to link to a single article. The link works ok but when I see the article page it only has the contents of the article, no header and footer from my previous page.
Anything I have found on the net has only told me how to add new articles, and I cannot find a solution to the problem of not seeing anything but the articles.
Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.
I'm not a web designer/coder but a friend had a designer quit on him and is needing some help getting his website up and running.

They are using magento 1.7, blanco theme.
I'm wondering a couple things:
1) How to edit the first item of the menu (Clothing that leads to coming-soon.html). In the CMS Static Blocks he has page-menu defined which is where the other links are generated(bespoke,wedding,about,press,store), but Clothing is not there. I just don't know where to edit Clothing.
I can go through the tutorial and see how to make nav_block1 for blanco ( http://www.techturn.com/TT/Blanco_Magento_Theme.pdf ), and I have successfully done that. It just adds a link to the end of the menu he already established. I think I could likely follow that to add all my links, but I just don't know how to edit the first link so it doesn't matter
2) How do I get a "storefront" view. Just some basic store-front that has the newest products listed? That's what I would want Clothing to link to.
Googling these problems generally brings me the wrong solutions, such as editing the Home button in the Magento Navigation, so I can't find the solution for what I need, so I'm sorry if this is common but I'm just not googling the right thing!
To Edit Clothing link,
app/design/frontend/default/blanco/template/catalog/navigation/top.phtml. I think he had added page-menu here. Kindly check.
If you want to display products in clothing link, Add the below line in CMS Page (coming-soon).
Please change the category_id as you want.

I am trying to build a news website in Joomla 1.7.
I want in the main content to display the latest e.g. 10 news and then using the next button to see the rest and so on.
What kind of module do I need? I did a little search and I am guessing a blog module?
I cannot find a free blog module. Any ideas?
If that is not the way to go, can anybody suggest any other way?

2 things - first, you need to upgrade to 2.5, 1.7 dies at the end of the month.
Next, I would use K2 for what you are describing. It's basically a replacement for the standard Joomla category/articles. It has all the features that a blog component should have plus a lot more if you need it.

1) UPGRADE to Joomla 2.5.1!
2) Blog format is a Joomla core feature, so no need to install any other 3rd party component!
Go to your Joomla backend
Manage menu
Create a new link (give a name....)
Type: Articles / Category Blog
In the right panel :
1. Coose your category name
2. In blog layout Options :
Leading Articles 0
Intro Articles 10
Columns 1 (or 2 as you want)
Links 0
Save and enjoy your blog!
Hello all im new to wordpress and i want to make a portfolio & blog site, i have a design but i dont know how to create the portfolio where i can show images and then click on the images so it get bigger.

If you want make that gallery with Wordpress, I'd suggest using some plugins such as Lightbox. Please read also this article about photoblogs and galleries.
