Is there a general approach to creating a keyboard shortcut on the latest MacBook such that when I hit the shortcut (say Ctrl-F7), text is inserted wherever the cursor happens to be for the current ISO date (say "2022-01-04")?
My more specific need is to emulate ctrl-; from Excel, but a paradigm for scripting arbitrary data at a keystroke would be generally useful to me.
I have looked into Karabiner, Automator, and Shortcuts but I don't know where to start with any of those apps, and maybe there is a better approach anyway.

When I'm on social media sites there's an option to select a file to post. I would feel more comfortable if there's a way to access the internet to search after I choose the option to add an image. Rather than search the internet to save an image to my computer and then going back to the website to select an image.
Windows after a website prompts to choose a file
How might I go about adding this feature to my computer? It would need add the extra search bar and to be able to connect to the internet.
I'm a novice programmer so not sure where to start. Just came up with the idea.

I have been using cracked/ pirated windows and many more software like photoshop etc. Recently I came to know about all the malware & viruses they may contain so I want to use all genuine software. If I remove previous windows key and add purchased windows key will it become malwareless? Because I do not want to lose any data by reinstalling windows. Also If I uninstall cracked applications will it also remove malware that came with it?

What's a good way to determine which program a particular GUI window belongs to on Microsoft Windows?
On Linux i can use the xwininfo command and then click the window.
Process Explorer has a cross-hair button on the toolbar.
Many other tools can do it including Spy++ and WinSpy.

I find my self typing often certain words. And I remember there was a cool function in Autohotkey (for PC) that let you type only a few letters of a word and an autocomplete function, completed the word for you.
Is it possible to have the same thing in OSX?
This is actually more of a "how to use OSX" question suitable for SuperUser than the focused programming questions of StackOverflow;
But since I'm here, what you are looking for is the "Text" shortcut feature which you'll find in the Keyboard system preference pane.
It looks like this:

Applications stealing focus is on of my biggest UI pet peeves. There's rarely a good reason for an application that I'm not using to interrupt what I'm doing.
Is there a way to disable focus-grabbing globally in OS X?
The only time I've ever seen "focus stealing" was when I was launching a bunch of applications at once, but didn't want them to gain focus. I do this when I start work in the morning; I have a script that launches about 5 or 6 apps I always use.
If this is your specific case, the behavior can be suppressed in apple script.
