I have a View with elements in it (Labels, etc) that I'd like to rotate.
Can this be done?
You can use the transform property to apply a 2DMatrix to the view:
var v = Ti.UI.createView({
transform: Ti.UI.create2DMatrix().rotate(90)
});

I'm using jqbargraph to show data from a Model, it's working fine but the axis values are overlapping.. is there a way to show them as Vertical so they will take less space ?
i checked the jqbargraph properties but there is no specific property to do that.
Thanks
jqbargraph adds a class to each label that is "graphLabel" + id of the element you added the graph to. For example if you do:
$('#divForGraph').jqBarGraph({ data: arrayOfData });
the class of the labels will be .graphLabeldivForGraph
So, you can transform those labels with css
.graphLabeldivForGraph {
-webkit-transform: rotate(45deg);
transform: rotate(45deg);
padding-left:10px;
padding-top:5px;
}
is there a way to implement a erase method for raphael objects. in this erase method I want to remove specific parts of a particular raphael object. It means that the erase method should work like a real eraser. In the raphael documentation there is a method call Paper.clear(). But we only can delete entire paper.
Any kind of help is appreciated.
The normal way to be to use the remove() method.
http://raphaeljs.com/reference.html#Element.remove
element.remove();
You could eventually create a function that draws shapes with the same color than your paper background-color, on click. Something like this code (jsfiddle at the end of the post). It would cover your content and not erase it, but it would look like it.
var timeoutId = 0;
var cursorX;
var cursorY;
var mouseStillDown = false;
paper = Raphael("paper1","100%","100%");
paper.rect(10,10,100,100).attr({
fill : "black"
});
$("#paper1").mousemove(function(event){
cursorY=event.pageY;
cursorX=event.pageX;
});
function erase() {
if (!mouseStillDown) { return; }
paper.rect(cursorX-25,cursorY-25,50,50).attr({
fill :"white",
stroke : "white"
});
if (mouseStillDown) { setInterval("erase", 100); }
}
$("#paper1").mousedown(function(event) {
mouseStillDown = true;
erase(event.pageX,event.pageY);
});
$("#paper1").mouseup(function(event) {
mouseStillDown = false;
});
Here, each time you click, it creates a white rectangle at your cursor position.
Here's a fiddle of the code : http://jsfiddle.net/c6Xs6/
With a few modifications you could create a menu allowing the user to choose the size and shape of the form you use to "erase".
Something more or less like this : http://jsfiddle.net/8ABe9/
You could also use a div following your cursor to show exactly where the "eraser" would be drawn.
Hope that helped you :)
I have a jqplot object that has x-axis tick marks/labels rendered on bottom. Basically, there is a stack of charts, all using the same x-axis. I would like to reclaim the bottom axis area from the middle charts for the plot lines.
How can I dynamically relocate the x-axis to top (i.e., northward)
How to make the x-axis label go away? For this I tried
plotobject.axes.xaxis.showLabel = false;
plotobject.replot();
but that seems to have no visible effect. plotobject is what's returned by the original $.jqplot() call and I am using $.jqplot.DateAxisRenderer for xaxis.renderer. I have access only to the plot object.
Thanks
This simple CSS solution is working for me to put the x-axis labels on top of the chart.
.jqplot-xaxis {
position: relative;
top: -30px;
}
well, the label for each axis (which is the axis title) has it's own renderer, and thus it's own options. I use the plugin one ( http://www.jqplot.com/docs/files/plugins/jqplot-canvasAxisLabelRenderer-js.html ) but also the default has a show: true/false setting. ( http://www.jqplot.com/docs/files/jqplot-axisLabelRenderer-js.html )
it should look something like this:
axes: {
xaxis: {
labelRenderer: $.jqplot.CanvasAxisLabelRenderer,
label: 'Dates',
labelOptions: {
show: true,
fontSize: '10pt'
},
}
}
For putting the x-axis on top, I'm not sure what your problem realy is, but I try to select it with jquery and set it's z-index to something high to bring it on top. Take a look at http://www.jqplot.com/docs/files/jqPlotCssStyling-txt.html for some selection ideas.
I have a div in prototype and it is draggable I want to make its draggable property false. How can I do it? Thanks.
<div id="answer_0_3" class="dragndrop_0 foreign dropped_answer" >Notebook</div>
My draggables are as follows:
var draggables = [];
$$('.answer.dragndrop_0').each(function(answer) {
draggables.push( new Draggable( answer, {revert: 'failure', scroll: window} ) );
});
Prototype itself does not support Draggable, but it's often coupled with Scriptaculous.
If you refer to a Scriptaculous Draggable, then you need to call it's .destroy method:
// suppose you initialize your Draggable something like this:
var answer_0_3_draggable = new Draggable('anser_0_3', ...);
...
// later in your code
answer_0_3_draggable.destroy()
How do you initialize those Draggables anyway? Please show some more code thant your one-liner?
I have a main view, then on that view I have, as children, two labels and an image. I want the labels to flow one after another from the top of the screen and I want the image at the bottom. I get the labels to flow properly by setting layout:'vertical' in the main window. But once that is done, I can't seem to force the image to the bottom. Here is a snippet of my code:
var self = Ti.UI.createView({
backgroundColor:'#fff',
layout:'vertical'
});
var l1 = Titanium.UI.createLabel({
text:quote,
color:'#000',
shadowColor:'#ddd',
shadowOffset:{x:2,y:2},
font:{fontFamily:'Marker Felt',fontSize:24},
top:20,
left:15,
right:15,
height:'auto'
});
self.add(l1);
var l2 = Titanium.UI.createLabel({
text:author,
color:'#000',
shadowColor:'#ddd',
shadowOffset:{x:2,y:2},
font:{fontSize:16},
top:10,
left:15,
right:15,
height:'auto',
textAlign:'right'
});
self.add(l2);
var imgView = Titanium.UI.createImageView({
image:myimage,
setBottom:10,
height:100
});
self.add(imgView);
I have tried setting the image layout and that doesn't work. If I change the 'self' window layout to 'absolute' then I can't seem to get the labels to flow cleanly after one another. The first label is of variable height so I need them to follow each other.
I am using Titanium 1.82.
Thanks. In advance.
You might need to add another view. The 'base' view would have what you are calling 'self' added at top:0 and height: 'auto'
Then add imgView to 'base' with bottom: 10 (not setBottom like you have).
Just set the bottom:0; position: fixed; i think this will help u to set the image bottom of the screen.. If it still not working means try with Html,Css and Javascript for design it will be very easy.
