One simple thing:
I want to combine the {s name="*"} and {link file="*"} blocks.
src="{link file='{s name='sFooterPaymentsIcon'}{/s}'}"
The problems should be the
'
signs.
How can I do that?
You can try assign a new variable and pass that on file parameter, like:
{assign var="my_file" value="{s name='sFooterPaymentsIcon'}{/s}"}
and then
src="{link file="$my_file"}"
You can do it this way:
//Assign snippet value to variable $snippetLink, in case variable is empty - assign LinkInCaseSnippetEmpty
{assign var='snippetLink' value='LinkInCaseSnippetEmpty'|snippet:'TheNameOfSnippet':"Namespace/If/Need"}
//assign source from variable $snippetLink
src="{link file=$my_file}"
In one line:
src="{link file='LinkInCaseSnippetEmpty'|snippet:'TheNameOfSnippet':'Namespace/If/Need'}"
{s} is for for text-snippets and should not be used for configuration-variables. If you need to make an include configurable, you should create a plugin for that.
The plugin should have a frontend-subscriber and make the file-include configurable via backend configuration-form. In the subscriber you can pass the configuration-value for the file-include to the frontend-view.
How can I do the following:
data: ls_header type BAPIMEPOHEADER.
" fill it
write ls_header.
currently I'm getting an error because write can not parse the complex type to a string. Is there a simple way to get this code running in abap?
You could use something like:
DATA: g_struct TYPE bapimepoheader.
DO.
ASSIGN COMPONENT sy-index OF STRUCTURE g_struct TO FIELD-SYMBOL(<f>).
IF sy-subrc NE 0.
EXIT.
ENDIF.
WRITE: / <f>.
ENDDO.
Perhaps not exactly the answer you expect: If you list each field.
This can be done quite easy via the Pattern-mask in SE38:
Select the Write-pattern:
Enter the structure you want:
Select the fields
Confirm with "Copy"
Confirm and you get
WRITE: bapimepoheader-po_number,
bapimepoheader-comp_code,
bapimepoheader-doc_type,
bapimepoheader-delete_ind,
bapimepoheader-status,
bapimepoheader-creat_date,
bapimepoheader-created_by,
bapimepoheader-item_intvl,
bapimepoheader-vendor,
bapimepoheader-langu,
bapimepoheader-langu_iso,
bapimepoheader-pmnttrms,
bapimepoheader-dscnt1_to,

Now you can make a simple replacement of bapimepoheader with ls_header and you have an output of all fields of the structure.
Maybe this is not elegant and you must adapt your report, if the structure changes. But I like this way, because often I don't need all fields and I can select the fields in an easy way.
I know two ways, one is procedural, the other is oop.
Here is the procedural approach.
Select the structure's fields (or whatever else You might need ) from the data-dictionary table DD03L into a local internal table.
Loop over the table into a work-area
Check, whether current field is a flat single datatype, and if so,
Assign component workarea-fieldname of structure ls_header into anyfieldsymbol
Write anyfieldsymbol
Do You need the code ?
Class CL_ABAP_CONTAINER_UTILITIES was specially introduced for that by SAP.
Use FILL_CONTAINER_C method for output the structure in a WRITE manner:
DATA: ls_header type BAPIMEPOHEADER.
CALL METHOD CL_ABAP_CONTAINER_UTILITIES=>FILL_CONTAINER_C
EXPORTING
IM_VALUE = ls_header
IMPORTING
EX_CONTAINER = DATA(container)
EXCEPTIONS
ILLEGAL_PARAMETER_TYPE = 1
others = 2.
WRITE container.
You can write your structure to a string and then output the string. Same method idoc segments are created.
I am trying to add a variable to an xpath but to no avail
This works below for java
assertTrue("Failed", verifyElementPresent("//*[#class='StdLJText' and contains(.,'2 Employees selected')]"));
but when I add a variable , like below it does not
String CountEmp1="2";
assertTrue("Failed", verifyElementPresent("//*[#class='StdLJText' and contains(.,CountEmp1+'Employees selected')]"));
You need to put CountEmp1 as a string addition in the main verifyElePresent func i.e verifyElementPresent("//*[#class='StdLJText' and contains(.,"+CountEmp1+"Employees selected')]"));
Note the replacement of "+CountEmp1+" at contains(.,CountEmp1+'
With your xpath the verifyElementPresent method basically looks for //*[#class='StdLJText' and contains(.,CountEmp1+'Employees selected')] where countEmp1 is taken as string value and not something that needs to be concatenadated.
I have a two mailers
welcome_manger(user) welcome_participant(user)
Both send different information and have different layouts.
when I call the deliver method I would like to use something like the following
UserMailer.welcome_self.role(self.user)
This does not work. How can I accomplish this?
Something like this perhaps:
m = 'welcome_' + self.role
UserMailer.send(m.to_sym, [self.user])
Assuming that self.role returns a String.
The send method invokes a method by name:
obj.send(symbol [, args...]) → obj
Invokes the method identified by symbol, passing it any arguments specified.
So you just need to build the appropriate method name as a string and then convert it a symbol with to_sym.
I am having a little bit of difficulty passing a variable into a selector in prototype. I would like to be able to pass a variable into the select string, so that one function can work for many of the same kind.
At the moment, this is what I would basically like to do:
function myFunct(var)
{
$(var + 'add_form').hide() //so inde the brackets would be ('#product1 #add_form') for example.
}
Be able to pass 'var' into the function that would pass it to the selector, so that I can hide a pattern that is the same for many on the page.
Any ideas for a path to follow would be greatly appreciated.
You're on the right track! Couple things:
var is a JavaScript keyword (source), don't use it to name a variable
if you're querying an element by id (such as #add_form) you don't need to add any container element as you're doing
If you're querying an element by class, you need to use the $$ function, not the $ function
You need to iterate over the wrapped set to call your method
whitespace is significant in css selectors, so make sure to include those in your selector construction to tell Prototype to search within your parent container:
function myFunct(parent) {
$$(parent + ' .add_form').invoke('hide')
}
myFunct('#someparent'); // hides .add_form inside #someparent
That should work... just rename var to something else.
function myFunct(yourVar)
{
$$('#' + yourVar + ' .add_form').each(function(s){ s.hide(); }); // yourVar being the id of the container element
}
I've put a '.' in front of add_form because you can't use multiple elements with same ID, make it a class.
