I can insert items to a playlist using the API but whenever I set a startAt and endAt in the contentDetails, the inserted Item doesn't edit the start and end when playing it in my youtube playlist. Also, in the playlistitemresponse, it doesn't show the contentDetails.startAt and endAt.
contentDetails: Object
endAt: "PT2M04S"
note: "asdfs"
startAt: "PT1M29S"
here's the object of my contentDetails? I am missing something to do?
Filed internally. Feel free to file a feature request in public tracker and let me know the id to get notified when this is fixed.

So, I didn't even know that playlists have a separate view count, but they do, here ya go:
Or here's the link, cuz it took me a while to find it, if you don't believe me: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLx0sYbCqOb8TBPRdmBHs5Iftvv9TPboYG
Anyone knows if I can retrieve the view count of a PLAYLIST, with the YT data API? I have tried v3/playlistItems, v3/playlists, neither did contain this information. And FYI they do NOT accept the 'statistics' in the part parameter.
Hope someone has this figured out!
Thanks!
I am using the google code sample for the google calendar api. This code is supposed to make a new calendar using the google calendar api. I am not clear on how to get access to the insert_calendar method.
Does anybody know where did the client object come from in the results variable? What class does it come from?
calendar = Google::Apis::CalendarV3::Calendar.new(
summary: 'calendarSummary',
time_zone: 'America/Los_Angeles'
)
result = client.insert_calendar(calendar)
print result.id
I don't know how to make a new one of those. When I make a new object like:
client = Google::APIClient.new
and I call methods, on it. I do not find an insert_calendar method. Can some one tell me what object I would need to instantiate in order to have the insert_calendar method?
This is a simple question but I am having a huge problem finding out how to answer this on my own.
The docs page is here. It looks like it's an instance method of Google::Apis::CalendarV3::CalendarService.
Since the usage isn't particularly clear from this documentation, I went to the google-api-client source on Github and used the "search this repository" tool to find where insert_calendar is defined.
It's in this file.
From looking at the source & docs I can advise you try the following code (though I haven't verified this:
calendar = Google::Apis::CalendarV3::Calendar.new(
summary: 'calendarSummary',
time_zone: 'America/Los_Angeles'
)
Google::Apis::CalendarV3::CalendarService.new.insert_calendar(
calendar: calendar,
# other options can go here
)
Does anyone knows if the google folder id changes over time? Assuming, obviously, the folder is not deleted and recreated.
I'm trying to be limit the quota usage as much as possible, by storing the ID on our side.
Thanks
UPDATE (2015/09/01) Per 'BSEs' comment below.
Sorry, I assumed it is Android (being professionally distorted).
Anyway, to make sure, look at the ID string in question and compare it with the ID you get from drive.google.com > right click > Get link. You should see something like:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1mqwertyasdfghZxCvbItM0E
If the id= string matches your resource ID, you're cool. Sorry for the confusion.
ORIGINAL (incorrect for .NET, applies to GooPlaySvcs/GDAA on Android)
I believe it does.
When testing the ResourceId availability here, I remember getting DriveId in one form immediately in the 'onResult()' callback. Later, when the 'onCompletion()' event occured, the DriveId of the same object looked very different (applies to both file and folder) .
Also, look at Daniel's comment here, it suggests that you should not rely on the value of the DriveId in any moment and use 'equals()'.
The ResourceId would be more appropriate ID to store, shuttle around, etc... DriveId is useless outside the GooPlaySvcs instance. And, based on some hints from Drive-Involved-Googlers, relying on a concrete value of DriveId is dangerous. That makes existence of 'encodeToString() / decodeFromString()' somewhat questionable, right?
Good Luck
For example, I have a class "Photo" which has an attribute "of_album". If I move this photo to another album, I want the new album's photo_count increase by 1 and old album's photo_count decrease by 1. How do I do this in beforeSave or afterSave?
Currently what I'm doing is that in beforeSave, I fetch the photo object by its id and get the old album information. Is there a more convenient way to do this?
Unfortunately what you are doing is the only way to achieve this. I tried many experiments with the different change/dirty attributes and nothing could get me the "before" version of the record.
How about using Cloud function, providing the old and new album ids, then use photo.increment() with +1 / -1 to update the count.
I wonder if is possible to assign an id when an item is created with parse:
ParseObject parseWord = new ParseObject(DataBaseHelper.TABLE_WORD);
parseWord.setObjectId(idRow);
parseWord.put(Word.NAME, word.getName());
parseWord.put(Word.TYPE, word.getType());
parseWord.put(Word.TRANSLATE, word.getTranslate());
parseWord.put(Word.EXAMPLE, word.getExample());
parseWord.put(Word.NOTE, word.getNote());
parseWord.put(Word.SYNC_AT, today);
parseWord.saveInBackground();
This code is not working, it doesnt save the item in the server. If I delete the setObjectId(idRow); it works. What am I doing wrong?.
Is there anyway to know when the saveInBackground is done?
Thanks
According to the ParseObject.setObjectID() API doc:
Setter for the object id. In general you do not need to use this.
However, in some cases this can be convenient. For example, if you are
serializing a ParseObject yourself and wish to recreate it, you can
use this to recreate the ParseObject exactly.
Also from the API doc:
An object id is assigned as soon as an object is saved to the server.
A reason, as the quote suggests, you might need to set the object ID is if you, wish to do something like save the fields of a parse object to a file. If you wanted to take the fields from your file and recreate a parse object, THEN you'd need to set it, as that's not done for you if you're not saving it to the server and just using an instance of the object for purposes internal to your application.
