Anypoint Studio - Mule Debug - "Stacktrace" - debugging

In Anypoint Studio breakpoints can be set in Subflows.
Using these the processing can be suspended, the message and the flow variables can be inspected.
I was wondering though... is it possible to find out how we ended up in the given subflow? Can we access some kind of "flow-call/reference stacktrace"? Is is possible to find out how we ended up in the given suflow?
For example in the following flow the "appendContentSubFlow" is referenced by appendContent and "appendContent Again":
How can we tell; which reference lead to the current hit of the breakpoint st in the subflow?
The "ByteArray to String" processing step is marked with dashed-borders, since the set breakpoint has stopped the execution in this step... however; the calling/referencing step is not marked at all.
First I thought, that this could be because I am using a subflow, but the same thing happens, when I am using a private-flow. Only the current processing step is marked and no "stacktrace-like" information is available.
Is there a way to find out where the call to the subflow/private-flow came from? Is the only way to do this to step to the next processing-step until we return to the calling flow?

At the moment this is not possible in Anypoint studio. You can't see the "Flow-Call" Stacktrace in the debugger, but you can achieve similar results using one of the following "workarounds":
You can use Search -> File Search and search your subflow name, use *.xml as filename pattern -> this will return mule configs that contains the calling flow. if multiple calling flow found you can add breakpoints to each to find which of the flow triggers the call.
or you can just add breakpoints to all possible calling flow.

How to create a Checkpoint in UFT

Strange enough that I have to ask such a simple question.
I started automating with UFT and I suppose the correct way to check if for instance my login has worked is to add a checkpoint on the next page.
But how do I do that?
All info I get from google is on how to add an already existing checkpoint to may page. But I don't have any.
Here is how I go about automating:
I add manually the relevant objects to the object repository
I create parameters for my action
I create the code that does the steps on the page
one action per page seems to be fine for me
But in the Object Repository of UFT 14.53, there is no button to add a Checkpoint.
A workaround for me would be to just add another Object and check it's existence and forget about checkpoints. Until I hopefully get an answer here, I will try to do just that.
In UFT there are typically two ways to verify that things are working as expected.
Flow (implicit) - In order to verify that progress in the application is successful (e.g. login) one usually just keeps working with the app, assuming that if the previous step failed, the objects needed for the next steps won't exist and the test will fail due to ObjectNotFound errors
State (explicit) - In order to see that objects have a specific state, checkpoints are usually used. Checkpoints are typically added during a record session, I'm not sure if there's a way to add them directly to the repository. An alternative to checkpoints, which works better with keyword driven testing (no recording), is to use the built in CheckProperty method.

Actionscript debug() method

I'm am trying to run a debug() method but I get the following error when I try to compile the code
Call to a possibly undefined method debug. debug("...");
I assume all I need to do is add an import ... where ... has the debug method defined. However I have tried looking for it and cannot find it.
I can't find what file to import. This is a large project that I got handed down to me to implement small features. I can add debug("msg") into some files with issue but others give me the error msg aboe.
I can't see trace("...") in the debug log.
Since there is no debug function this was obviously a custom function someone wrote. Nobody here can tell you where to find the file to import, you'll need to get more information from whoever you inherited the files from.
Another option is to just comment out the debug calls since based on the name they probably aren't doing anything but giving debugging information which most likely isn't required for the end goal of the program.

How to close program via TestComplete after failed Keword Test

So lets say I am doing a Test Complete keyword test. If something fails in it the text stops . Actually what I have founded out is that if i have 8 checkpoints if the 4th one fails the rest will always fail after it. So i get a "test execution was interrupted" error. Thats fine but it doesnt finish out the test and close the application. The reason this is an issue is because any tests after it will fail because the application is still left open. I could rewrite these tests so that the application is open when they start but is there a way to kill and application after your tests fail? If the tests pass the application is closed.
You need to organize your tests with test items. In this case, you create at least 3 test items: the first one starts the application, the second performs the test and the third closes the application. If an error occurs during execution of the second test, this second test execution is ended and TestComplete runs the third finalization test item.
Information on test items can be found in the Tests and Test Items help topic. Please note that you need to specify the Test Item value in the Stop on error column for the needed test item (the second one in the above example). Information on this and other columns can be found here. The column is hidden by default and you need to add it: right-click the header of the test items list and select Field Chooser. After this, drag the needed column to the header from the Field Chooser dialog.

Alternative solution is using the OnLogError or OnStopTest event handlers. Find description of how to handle standard TestComplete events in the Creating Event Handlers for TestComplete Events help topic.

Trigger option to set specific build parameters?

I'm looking for a way to attach some specific build parameter to a scheduled trigger.
The idea is that we are continuously building debug versions of our products. Our nightly build has to be a release build, though. The build configurations for most of our projects is absolutely the same. It even has a configuration parameter, already. So all I would need is a trigger which allows for specifying an override for a single build parameter. That would cut the build configurations to maintain by half.
Is there a way to achieve this?
Not right now, you can follow this issue.
The approach I use is to create a "Deploy :: Dev D1 :: Run all integration tests" build. I then create a build trigger on each integration service build.
I create a parameter called "env:OctopusEnvironment" for integration service build. Set the value to be empty. I like to use prompt and display:

So now I can run the integration test via a trigger and when I run it directly it will prompt me on which environment to run integration test against.
I was stuck with the same problem and voted for the issue mentioned by Evgeny. One solution we thought, as mentioned sergiussergius, was to add a final step in the build-steps sequence to trigger manually the next build-configuration by passing custom-build parameters using the REST API. But in this case, we are loosing the build-chain information.
Using TeamCity 9.x, trying some stuff on the REST API, I could implement a solution who makes it possible to retrieve the triggering (ancestor) build and its parameters from the triggered (child) build.
The first thing we do is getting the current build using the environment variables set by TeamCity:

In the response from the REST API, we have a /build/triggered tag which contains information about the trigger. It looks like this

From it, we can access the triggering-build (ancestor) using the following request to the REST API:

from the response, we can get the ancestor-build's parameters values, and set it in the current build using:

Notes:
this post reference TeamCity version 7.X. I did this using TeamCity version 9.X, and could not try it with a previous version. I don't know if the REST API calls mentioned in my post are similar in the previous versions.
In this solution, the ancestor's build-configuration (the one who trigger the build) and the child's build-configuration (the one triggered) are in the same project. I did not do the test using build-configurations in 2 different projects: I would expect the "trigger" tag to provide information about the ancestor's project. It would be nice if someone could do the test.

This is not a general solution, but in certain cases (for example if you want to determine whether the build was started by a schedule trigger or some other method), a workaround is to examine the predefined parameter teamcity.build.triggeredBy.
This parameter is set to the same string that is shown on the build's overview page next to the label "Triggered by:". For example, "Schedule Trigger", "Git", or a user's full name. (There is also a teamcity.build.triggeredBy.username parameter, but it is only set in the latter case).
The limitation of this approach is that you cannot, for example, distinguish between two separate schedule triggers defined for the same build configuration. But in that case you could resort to examining the current time as well.

Is there a way to add global error handler in a visual basic 6.0 application?

VB 6.0 does not have any global handler.To catch runtime errors,we need to add a handler in each method where we feel an error can occur.But, still some places might be left out.So,we end up getting runtime errors.Adding error handler in all the methods of an application,the only way?
No there is no way to add a global error handler in VB6. However, you do not need to add an error handler in every method. You only really need to add an error handler in every event handler. E.g. Every click event,load event, etc
While errors do propogate upwards, VB6 has no way to do a stack trace, so you never know which method raised the error. Unfortunately, if you need this information, you have to add a handler to each method just to log where you were.
Also: errors do propagate upwards: if method X calls methods Y and Z, a single error handler in method X will cover all three methods.

It has its cost but does its job perfectly. I have seen other tools (free though) helping in this VB6 mangle, but none can cover a true real global error handling like "SimplyVB6 Global Error Handler for VB6" does.
With "SimplyVB6 Global Error Handler for VB6", there is no need to change any line of existing code, and no need to number the lines of code (via a plug-in or something).
Just enable Global error handling (one line of code in the main module) and you are all set.

I am not in any way affiliated to www.everythingaccess.com, just happy to have found it yesterday afternoon, was kind of looking at this problem again as one of my customers was having bugs in our VB6 application. I was able to test the tool yesterday afternoon, exchanging emails with the www.everythingaccess.com support and getting the evaluation product per mail.
Their web side does not allow yet to download the evaluation version of the VB6 product, you have to email them but they are answering in less than an hour.
