My application needs to attach a text file to email. When I attempt to create an email attachment I throw a "System.InvalidOperationException".
I have permissions set to read/write external storage. I have variously tried storing the attachment in "FileSystem.CacheDirectory" and "System.Environment.SpecialFolder.LocalApplicationData". In both cases I can write/read the file. I went to the page "Xamaein.Essentails: Email" and tried thier example. I can send the email if there is no attachment, but trying the attachment example throws the same exception. Can someone tell me what I have missed??
I finally found the answer. The EmailAttachment class is experimental. Inserting this line
ExperimentalFeatures.Enable("EmailAttachments_Experimental");
before the
"message.Attachments.Add(new EmailAttachment(file));"
line will make it work.

i try to setup the youtube api but i get a 403.
I tried to setup several times- without success.
https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/videos?part=snippet,contentDetails&id=-DIJvggBrg8&key=xyz
Maybe someone is able to help me or even login to the console for a setup?
The 403 error by itself is not of immediate use. Its attached error code (as I already pointed out above) sheds light on the things that happened.
The API responds to any query you make with a text (that is structured in JSON format). That response text contains the needed error code.
I suggest you to proceed with the following steps:
delete the old API key (right now it is still accessible!);
create a new API key and
run your API query using the new key and then post here the API response text.
Note that I checked the video -DIJvggBrg8 to which your query refers to with my own API key and got no error but a JSON text describing the video.
I have a webapp in production that interacts with Google Drive through Google Drive API.
I need to change some settings in Drive interaction but I can't save.
When I save the Drive UI integration page, I receive this error:
There's a problem at our end.
Please try again. If the problem persists, please let us know using
the "Send feedback" link below. Thanks!
(spying Network console: there is an Internal Server Error in a POST call)
I tried to send feedback for months: nobody answers and the bug is still there.
I tried also to create another project: I can save the first time but then the bug returns.
How can I do? Has someone the same problem?
Is there a way to receive a reply from Google? Is there some workaround?
Thank you.
i think that problem must be Client ID
before adding Client ID, go to the Credentials -> OAuth 2.0 Client IDs
then select edit your Client ID. after that your production site url add to Authorized JavaScript origins and Authorized redirect URIs.
then enter your Client ID in Drive UI integration page
For myself trying to get the Drive UI configured I noticed a couple of errors (that don't have any specific error messages)
When adding in an Open URL it has to be a valid domain, so for instance I tried to test it out with local host, to no avail. However something like https://devbox.app.com worked, but something like https://localhost:8888 does not. Even though https://localhost is a valid javascript origin in the client_id configuration (at least for the app I am working on, not sure about other apps), localhost doesn't work as an open URL.
When adding in the mimeTypes it needs to be in the format */* and can include custom mimeTypes like application/custom+xml and application/custom-name+json not sure for other custom types that are not in a particular format like xml or json. Also not sure about wildcards.
When adding in file extensions do not add in the '.' just the name of the file extension.
The app icon I found only failed to upload the image when the image wasn't the exact dimensions, I actually ended up editing some icons in photoshop to change the pixel x pixel values as a quick work around during dev.
That worked for me to get it to save and I tested it with a file that had a custom mimeType (application/custom-name+xml specifically) and custom file extension!
I do maintenance on a classic ASP website that basically has no error handling at all yet. So users see any error message that comes across... Instead, I would like my code to be able to catch any potential error and then fire off an email before redirecting the user to a more friendly error-page.
This website is rather large, and every webpage comes with the same include file at the beginning... So ideally, I would like to set an error handler from the beginning of this include file. I haven't had any luck finding a way to do this without having to go through every page individually having error handling happen at the end of the script... Is there a possible way to code something like this from the include file?:
' Include file contents:
Function MyHandler()
'Code for triggering email goes here
response.redirect "ErrorPage.asp"
End Function
On Error call MyHandler()
Thanks in advance!
I suggest to use Custom Error Pages in IIS (Web Server), if you have access to those. You can redirect different types of errors to different scripts if you like or point them all to a single one and have there the logic for all error codes.
You can catch common errors there and maybe redirect the user to a alternative page/site, or return a specific error message.. I would suggest to use the custom error page also to log the error and some information from the session (e.g. form submit data, query strings, referrer URLs, cookies etc.) in a database and/or send a notification email to some service account to identify specific issues that are occurring and then also have something to go on to actually fix the cause of many of the errors.
Where is "This customer email already exists" text error message(My Account)?
In My account and on form where we try to change the email address. If we are trying to save the already exists email address we saw the error msg above.
I need to change something in that and tried looking around everywhere but could not find it.
I find the form action pointing to form action="<?php echo $this->getUrl('customer/account/editPost')
but editPostAction only seems to be handling the passwords change.
Can anyone please tell me where is it? which file?
yes you can change your error message from locale file of your magento setup
just go throw this path
yourproject\app\locale\en_US
open Mage_Customer.csv file and go to 408 line change second column text what you want to put with your new message
i hope this will solve your problem.
Edit
See below image and change with your message in column b
You can change error message from csv translation file. just go to this location
app\locale\en_US.
Open Mage_Customer.csv file here you can find this error message. change error message here whatever you want.
I try to create some script to send a lot of required data to the server after that server will send a generated file back. I know, it's possible to create some link that contain my data like the following code for sending data to server and get the file back.
<a href="domain.com/getExcel.aspx?id=ABC&title=Report1" target="_blank" />
But the maximum length of URL is around 2000 characters that I cannot guarantee the length of data will not over this limit. So I try to use "jQuery Plugin for Requesting Ajax-like File Downloads" to send data to the server by dynamic creating form with hidden input.
Everything works great on IE9. But I got "Failed to load resource" error message when I use it in Google Chrome 9. I think this problem occurs only when response header is set to Attachment.

Do you have any walk-around to fix this bug?
Update
I just submit this bug to chromium issue tracker.
