I was wondering if someone could suggest anything here.
I am trying to install Oracle 11g on my Windows 10 64 bit machine. On my side I am required to install the 64Bit driver first and for whatever reason it stucks at steps 5 of 7.
Checking forum and SO, I saw a suggestion to add the below bit of xml to the cvu_prereq.xml file present in the stage/cvu folder. Yet this has not helped.
<OPERATING_SYSTEM RELEASE="6.2">
<VERSION VALUE="3"/>
<ARCHITECTURE VALUE="64-bit"/>
<NAME VALUE="Windows 10"/>
<ENV_VAR_LIST>
<ENV_VAR NAME="PATH" MAX_LENGTH="1023" />
</ENV_VAR_LIST>
</OPERATING_SYSTEM>
When checking the logs, It seems to stuck each time on 'Get view named [SummaryUI]'.
From the logs it seems my machine fits all the prerequisite.

Has anyone any suggestion for this please? I am at a loss as to why it fails on this very step.
So I ended up doing the following:
As per the suggestion of Wernfried I run the CMD line and run the following:
setup.exe -silent -nowait -ignoreSysPrereqs -ignorePrereq -waitForCompletion"ORACLE_BASE=C:\Oracle ORACLE_HOME=C:\Oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1
oracle.install.client.installType=Runtime \
This worked for me. I am now able to install 11g Oracle driver on WIN10.
Thanks for the input.

Starting 2020-12-09, VSCode's Rust Analyzer extension no longer loads for me. On launch, it prints out this error message:
Cannot activate rust-analyzer: bootstrap error. See the logs in "OUTPUT > Rust Analyzer Client" (should open automatically). To enable verbose logs use { "rust-analyzer.trace.extension": true }
Enabling extension tracing produces the following diagnostic just before failing:
INFO [12/10/2020, 10:03:22 AM]: Using server binary at c:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Code\User\globalStorage\matklad.rust-analyzer\rust-analyzer-windows.exe
DEBUG [12/10/2020, 10:03:22 AM]: Checking availability of a binary at c:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Code\User\globalStorage\matklad.rust-analyzer\rust-analyzer-windows.exe
DEBUG [12/10/2020, 10:03:22 AM]: c:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Code\User\globalStorage\matklad.rust-analyzer\rust-analyzer-windows.exe --version: {
status: 3221225506,
signal: null,
output: [ null, '', '' ],
pid: 1648,
stdout: '',
stderr: ''
}
where <user> is the name of the user account I use to log into the system1.
The status value reported in the error diagnostic (3221225506) translates to 0xC0000022 (STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED). Navigating to the binary from within VSCode's integrated terminal and trying to execute rust-analyzer-windows.exe --version doesn't produce any output, which seems to reinstate that running this executable from VSCode is somehow blocked.
It appears that something changed with respect to access rights executing the server binary from within VSCode. In between Rust Analyzer working and Rust Analyzer no longer working I didn't update Rust, nor rustup, nor VSCode, nor any extensions.
I did install 2020-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB4592438), though, and the time Rust Analyzer started failing coincides with the time the update got installed. That could literally just be a coincidence.
What additional steps can I take to get to the root cause of the issue, and how do I get Rust Analyzer working again?
Version information:
Rust Analyzer (stable): v0.2.408
Windows 10 Pro: Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042
VSCode: 1.51.1 (user setup)
1 This is also the user account VSCode runs under, including all of its spawned processes. Navigating to the path from a command prompt running under this account reveals that rust-analyzer-windows.exe is present, and executing rust-analyzer-windows.exe --version prints a version identifier, as expected.
Unfortunately, I didn't quite get to investigate the root cause of this.
A system reboot that was forced upon me appears to have restored World Peace.
Clearing proxy config works for me.
I'm not sure this covered all situation, but it might be related to the network.
In trying to install the Epson JavaPOS ADK the program never finishes. Looking at the log file seems that the program is looking for files that do not exist, and therefore cannot manipulate them. After installation "completes" the file C:\opt\EpsonJavaPOS\Uninstall_Epson JavaPOS ADK_1.14.0.0\.com.zerog.registry is created. Not sure what I've done to mess this up.

JavaPOS ADK v1.14W
There are bug fixes that may be involved in JavaPOS ADK 1.14.3W.
[Bug fix]
- The bug is fixed that the installation of JavaPOS ADK fails in the latest Java VM on Windows10.
The latest version is 1.14.6 W, so please try it.
EPSON JavaPOS ADK (for Windows OS) Ver. 1.14.6W
for me, i found out that the installer does not play nicely with Java 8 and Windows 10. After I used Java 7 as the parameter for LAX_VM, it installed correctly. You may need to switch to another user if the installer keeps skipping installation steps though.
I am using open-source Pentaho distribution from github.com (version 6.1-SNAPSHOT).
In Spoon there are some step missing (e.g. There is no Mongodb input/output step listed) and I cant add dataservice to step (There are no errors, this option just isn't on the list).
I have reinstalled everything (removed .kettle and .pentaho directories as well as whole source and distribution) but it didn't help.
This is what I get at spoon startup:

has something to do with it as missing plugins reside somewhere under karaf/ directory.
It was working just fine week ago.
I am using Ubuntu 15.04.
I will be grateful for any hints.
Greetings.
you are using a non stable release. this is the place where you can download the latest stable release http://sourceforge.net/projects/pentaho/
Agreed with jipipayo, For Pentaho CE version, download it from http://community.pentaho.com/ official instead of github. It is highly possible that the codes in github might be in unstable condition.
Also in case you have a missing plugin, try using the Pentaho Marketplace and download the required plugins.
Hope this helps :)
I have been pulling my hair out trying to install Security Update 2015-006 on my MacBook7,1. Tried AppStore 3x, no go. Downloaded standalone Installer and tried this one 5x. Same result every time. Gets all the way through 95+% to the point where it's simply cleaning up and then it just falls with:
The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.
In the system log:

I've already tried deleting the contents of /Library/Updates and /var/folders which has worked in the past but makes no difference this time.
Anybody ?
TIA !
I’m having an issue with ftp.SyncLocalDir when I have an open file on the local directory.
I’m using the example from http://www.example-code.com/vbnet/ftp_syncLocalTree.asp with a few minor changes. It has been working fine for a few days and then has stopped working.
I’ve found that one of the files is open on the local directory. Looking through the http://chilkatforum.com/ forum I see that one of the answers stated that
“Chilkat will detect errors that are likely permission/access errors and will continue with the remainder of the download.”
This is not happening for me. Looking at the last error text it states that the file is used by another process. Not other files get synchronized.
Is the something else I need to add to the code to force it to continue after the error?
Below is the last error text.
Thanks,
Steve

Please try this new build for the .NET 4.0 Framework:
32-bit Download: http://www.chilkatsoft.com/download/preRelease/ChilkatDotNet4-9.5.0-win32.zip
64-bit Download: http://www.chilkatsoft.com/download/preRelease/ChilkatDotNet4-9.5.0-x64.zip
The feature for continuing past permission/access issues had to do with issues on the remote server as opposed to the local filesystem. This new build should now also do the same for local permission errors. It will be noted in the release notes for Chilkat version 9.5.0.47 when released (soon).
If you have trouble, please post the LastErrorText using this new build.
