TYPO3 rte_ckeditor plugin

I try to insert a FontAwesome plugin in CKEditor.
https://github.com/brstuff/ckawesome
externalPlugins:
ckawesome:
resource: "EXT:siteconfig/Resources/Public/JavaScripts/RTE/Plugins/ckawesome/plugin.js"
I copied the Font Awesome fonts and CSS in that folder and the RTE gives a button which popups the dialog.
However the console gives me a "Uncaught TypeError: $(...).select2 is not a function"
In plugin.js is:
CKEDITOR.scriptLoader.load(CKEDITOR.plugins.getPath('ckawesome') + 'resources/select2/select2.full.min.js');
This path is correct, however should a script in this way be loaded on a different method with TYPO3 CKEditor?
First of all, perhaps this extension solves the issue
https://github.com/DirkPersky/rte-ckeditor-fontawesome
it add font awesome, so no need for you to reinvent that wheel :-)
Second, if you really want to found out why your own solution doesn't work, try and find out, what path
CKEDITOR.scriptLoader.load(CKEDITOR.plugins.getPath('ckawesome') + 'resources/select2/select2.full.min.js');
resolves to, perhaps something is wrong there.

Tiny MCE v2.1 code editor

Call me old fashioned, but there is nothing I can do but only to use the old version of Tiny MCE, which is 2.1.
So, what I'm trying to do is to add a "download" attribute to tag, after I open HTML editor I type this attribute, when saving it simply disappears. There is no official documentation to this old version on the official site. The new ones doesn't mention anything about this feature at all. overall editor look. code editor look
Also, I tried to add "download" in the extended valid elements configuration:
extended_valid_elements: "code[class|dir ,however no success as well.
Did anyone by any chance faced the same problem?
Could use a little bit of help.
Well, if anyone ever encounters the same problem, which I highly doubt, you would need to open tiny_mce.js file, and on the line 1928 there will be "A : "id|class|style|title|download" ", this is the place, where I added "download". Afterwards I was able to add this attribute in the HTML code editor.

slow scrolling when using responsive bootstrap theme

I am using a bootstrap 3 template and have noticed on some that scrolling is not smooth and kind of bumpy. I am not even sure what to look for. This only happens in Chrome. It does NOT happen in Safari or Firefox.
Is this a javascript or css problem? I have never run across this before.
This seems to happen worse in Chrome for mac, but also happens in chrome for windows.
It seems to happen when I make the window smaller and then make it bigger again. If I leave the window the same size, it seems to scroll fine.
Link:
http://demo.phppointofsalestaging.com --> Click Sales then resize the window in Chrome and then scroll down and then up. You will notice it is very bumpy and not smooth
:root { scroll-behavior: auto; }
Add this simple code to your custom CSS file.
"scroll-behavior" declared as "smooth" in bootstrap css/bootstrap.reboot.css.
So we need to overwrite it using our custom css.
The problem is in the jquery.nicescroll plugin that is used with the theme, the function jQuery.fn.scrollTop make the problem, it takes more than 75% from the cpu when run. my solution is :
You are using the jquery.nicescroll plugin version 3.4.0 use the latest version currently version 3.5.0 available.
If not working as expected, downgrade to version 3.2.0 I'm using it with my site without any problem.
Also check that if the hwacceleration in the Configuration parameters of the plugin is set to (default: true).
Update 1:
nicescroll plugin is a solution to have a custom scrollbars compatible with desktop, tablet and phone devices and to override the default scrollbars of the browser " more information her ", "you didn't see the diffrence because the plugin used in your project works when your browser window under 767px" so another solution if you don't need it you can remove the plugin from your files by following this steps:
Delete the plugin file (jquery.nicescroll.js) from your script folder.
Delete the plugin link from all your files.
Delete the plugin function lines (21 to 36), (49 to 66), (149) from (unicorn.js) file.
Update 2:
I made some tweaks for the (unicorn.js), download it from her, then replace your original one.
Hope this will help you.

How to auto-reload css in Chrome after editing SASS files

I am trying to set up the mapping feature in Chrome canary. I followed the screenshots in this answer.
The main feature works, when I inspect an element, it points me to my local sass file and when I edit it, the local file safes, and the `sass --watch' is triggered. However, the browser does not refresh, even though on the "General" tab in devtools I have checked "Auto-reload CSS upon Sass save".
Should the browser reload? Is there a way to get it to reload?
Ps - I have compass but I can not use that as it does not support mapping, so I am compiling sass through the terminal
Thanks
You probably forgot this step:
In the Sources tab, find your generated CSS file, right click on it and choose Map to network resource, and select the same file name in the shown dropdown:
and then choose the matching file from your workspace:
It could be that the Sass-file is still compiling when Chrome tries to reload the CSS. Setting the 'Auto-reload CSS upon Sass save' Timeout to 5000 ms fixed it for me. When Chrome triggers the reload, it can even prevent Sass from recompiling the CSS.
I solved the problem by installing tincr extention and now when I save locally, the browser refreshes.

ckeditor: mediaembed plugin won't work

I'm using CKEditor for my site.
Now I found the plugin called "MediaEmbed". I need it for embedding YouTube videos.
I installed it and the integration worked fine, but embedding won't work.
When you paste the code into the text area in the embedding dialog and then click on OK in IE and Chrome nothing happens and in Firefox it just adds a image as a flash-content-placeholder.
Let's say the flash-content-placeholder image would be just in the wysiwyg interface, but then i should get the embed code when I click on "view source" - but no, there you just see the source of the placeholder image div and img tag.
Then let's say the embed code is saved internally, so I save the file I create with CKEditor, and the out I get is just what I entered without the stuff the MediaEmbed plugin has generated at all.
How to fix this?
Please help!
Yours Joern.
use firebug and see, it'll be giving a cross domain error. the plugin has a bug. use try catch in the place where is accesses the windows.name property for a workaround.
Try istead ckeditor youtube plugin
