Mainfest passes VisualStudio, But is invalid in Outlook - outlook

I am right now trying to create a new web add-in for Outlook.
I followed this description: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/quickstarts/outlook-quickstart?tabs=yeomangenerator
Unluckily my manifest is invalid.(outlook is telling me this after running "npm start" in VS Code) But when i try to check if it is valid in VSCode than it is saying everytime it is valid. (npm run validate)
This is the error message in Outlook: "The Outlook Developer Add-in manifest schema is invalid. Please ensure your manifest is valid and try again."
Do you have any idea how to fix this issue? Thanks.

Cannot start Outlook web add-in

I have an issue trying to load and debug any kind of Outlook web add-in. I can reproduce with my own add-in (which is deployed to the Office store and used to work in debug mode perfectly!) as well as with the default add-in template in Visual Studio 2017. I create a default "OutlookWebAddin1" project, change nothing, hit F5 to deploy and run/debug, enter my credentials, and load the add-in in the Outlook client or browser (Chrome, IE and Edge) - all exhibit the error:
"Add-in Error: Something went wrong and we couldn't start this add-in.
Please try again later or contact your system administrator."
The F12 console in Chrome (to pick one of the three browsers I tested with), shows these errors:
GET https://localhost:44398/MessageRead.html?et=&_host_Info=
Outlook|Web|16.01|en-CA|11aa92ad-a510-ddb9-c441-529b1b374f16|
net::ERR_INSECURE_RESPONSE
GET https://localhost:44398/Images/icon64.png net::ERR_INSECURE_RESPONSE
Executing action: GetTaskStatusAction
GET https://outlook.office365.com/ows/outlookusersettings/api/v1/frepanel
/frepaneltaskstatus 401 (Unauthorized)
Here's a prettier look at the error:

The cause is apparently a problem with the localhost certificate. The fix is to use the Certificates Snap-In in MS Management Console and copy the localhost certificate from "Personal-> Certificates" to "Trusted Root Certification Authorities -> Certificates". How this problem occurred on two very different PCs with different versions of Visual Studio is a mystery, but this does work.

Microsoft Visual Studio Credential Errors on Microsoft Azure Account

I was trying to deploy my web application to Microsoft Azure and as I enter my credentials for my Microsoft account, this error popped up and I'm unable to seek the solution to solve. However, I tried logging in through Microsoft Visual Studio itself and get the same error message as well
[Error In TextForm]
We could not add the account [myemail] user_interaction_required : One of two conditions was encountered: 1. The PromptBehavior.Never flag was passed, but the constraint could not be honored, because user interaction was required. 2. An error occurred during a silent web authentication that prevented the http authentication flow from completing in a short enough time frame
May I know what details I need to check in order to solve the following error?
Thanks in advance.
Try this:
Remove the existing account from Visual Studio
Close Visual Studio
Open a developer command prompt
Type devenv.exe /resetuserdata
Restart Visual Studio
Try and enter you credentials
Worked for me.
In my case it was because I recently left a company.
They had referenced my personal account for some reason in their Azure Active Directory and locked down the account.
I could determine I was still part of their directory from the azure portal, on the right after clicking on the user name their directory was here among others.
Just contacted then to remove the reference to my account which looks like this if your email is johndoe#hotmail.com : johndoe_hotmail.com#EST##tenantname.onmicrosoft.com
I removed the Users from Azure Active Directory group which were not having any subscriptions, and it works!!
Try this:
1. Remove existing account
2. Restart
3. Add account

VSTO 2010 Outlook add-in shows error message while installing

I have a VSTO 2010 Office 2007 Outlook Add-In deployed from Click-Once. It works on my dev machine and on a standard user machine and fails on another. On the first time it was installed but the add-in didn't appear in Outlook. Then I removed that Add-In in the control panel and deleted the "outcmd.dat" file. When I'm trying to install a new plugin, it shows an error message:
"Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Deployment.AddInAlreadyInstalledException: The customization cannot be installed because another version is currently installed and cannot be upgraded from this location. To install this version of the customization, first use Add or Remove Programs to uninstall this program: WG plugin. Then install the new customization from the following location: file:///C:/WG25.10.2012/WG plugin-php.vsto
at Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Deployment.ClickOnceAddInDeploymentManager.VerifySolutionCodebaseIsUnchanged(Uri uri, String subscriptionId, Boolean previouslyInstalled)
at Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Deployment.ClickOnceAddInDeploymentManager.InstallAddIn() "
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Solution for Visual Studio shows message "Error while trying tu run project:" after un signing assemblies?

a couple of days ago I signed my assemblies to test ClickOnce deployment.
All worked fine until I cannot deserialize my old binary-serialized-files, so I had to revert the code-signing of the assemblies. That's ok, I will not use ClickOnce, it was just a test.
The problem now is that Visual Studio shows the message "Error while trying to run project:" (whithout giving any more information about why that happens and with that very annoyig sound) when starting to debug. Then I must try again and the debug starts as usual unless, of course, you edit the code.
Is there a solution for that appart from re-installing VS?
Note: I tried deleting the .SUO file but the problem persists.
Solved!
The problem was that, after removing code signing (uncheck the signing options on the project properties), there was .pfx file remaining.
Just deleting that .pfx file stops the "Error while trying to run project" message.
Error comes because recently you might have un-installed Internet Browsers.
This error will come Because of not assigning the default Browser for the project.
In Visual Studio,Right click on the Project and set Internet Explorer as your Default Browser.

Publish error again, error: 0x80880253

I recently repaired Visual Studio 2005 after getting a publish error.
Now I get the following error. How do I fix it?
Error 2 SignTool reported an error 'Failed to sign bin\Release\TBRHelp.publish\setup.exe. SignTool Error: ISignedCode::Sign returned error: 0x80880253
The signer's certificate is not valid for signing.
SignTool Error: An error occurred while attempting to sign: bin\Release\TBRHelp.publish\setup.exe
I had this exact same problem last week. To solve this problem in Visual Studio 2008, I did the following:
I right clicked on the project and selected Properties.
Then I clicked on tag Signing.
Then I checked the checkbox next to Sign the ClickOnce manifests.
Then I pressed the button Create Test Certificate... and followed the process.
This worked for me, I hope it works for you.
I am using Visual Studio 2008. When clicked on Signer les manifestes ClickOnce, I saw: Date d'expiration on 16/03/2014. Today's is 25/03/2014.
I didn't create a new certificate, but clicked on "A partir du magasin" and followed instructions.
I arrived to a certificate with expiration date at 02/06/2014, from Toshiba... (The name of my computer). I imported it and my date date of the 'expiration change from 16/03/2014 to 02/06/2014.
How can I have an automatic updated certificate date?
